Move the kde* and plasma* files from ~.config somewhere and see the effect. It should work.

2 years ago. The easiest way I can think of would be to wipe out ~/.config, ~/.local and ~/.cache but other applications also keep their settings here too so you probably don't want to do that. You could always create a new user account or re-name the above folders (copying anything you want to keep).
