I signed up to a trial version of Lightroom 2015 a few years ago and after 30-days 95% functionality was stripped out of it, hence I cannot edit photos etc.

07.11.2019 · I have the same problem. Clearly connected to the internet (I'm typing this!) but Lightroom keeps telling me it has no internet connection. I've been trying to make a local copy of my cloud files for three days and after a while, it just grinds to a halt, even though my connection is working for everything else I'm doing.

May 26, 2019 · Simple fact is you Can't. You must have an internet connection to start with and then every 90 +/- days to verify your subscription status. That also goes for all other Adobe programs (and I would think 99% of all current versions of other software). If you have no internet how did you download and install LR Classic?

08.03.2020 · The internet works just fine. Adobe Lightroom just cannot access the clould. I pay a lot of money per month for this service and it should work as stated without having to jump through hoops. Adobe, you need to address this issue internally. This is YOUR issue, not a local one if SO many people are experiencing the same thing at the same time.
Yes, you can use Lightroom CC when you don’t have an internet connection. Obviously it can’t sync with the cloud when you’re offline, and the cloud-based search feature won’t work, but you can still add new photos and work with photos that have already been downloaded.
