If you ever lose your password you can always reset it by execing into the container as root: 1. docker exec -it webtop passwd abc. Copied! By default we perform all logic for the abc user and we reccomend using that user only in the container, but new users can be added as long as there is a startwm.sh executable script in their home directory.

Linuxserver.io templates for Portainer. Portianer used to support Linuxserver.io templates but it no longer does. They are so handy though that someone has reworked their .json file so that you can use an external link in your portainer settings. I feel like this guy should get a lot more attention for this.

The full template list will be added later, when we create a new flag for portainer (eg --homeuser) as portainer is primarily designed for business use, and many of linuxserver templates are for home use. When setting the future flag, we will enable all linuxserver templates to be shown.

In Portainer go to Settings. There is an App Templates Section. Click the sliding button to use External Templates.

Docker containers are, for the most part, immutable. This means that important configuration such as volume and port mappings can't be easily changed once the container has been created.
