I would produce to .avi using the TechSmith Screen Codec 2. Its a lossy format but a good one. The file sizes are still quite large. More than enough video information to to reproduce a clean video in Premiere Pro. A Lossless video with dimensions of 1920 x 1080 could easily reach or exceed 2 to 4 GB per minute file size.

Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file and type a name for the file. The .avi extension will be added automatically by VirtualDub.

17.03.2021 · You're never going to get a lossy codec to sound the same as a lossless one. What you can do though is make the most of what is available to you, and to start with the mastering. Bear in mind a lot of streaming sites now either use by default or have the option to use a levelling algorithm to keep audio levels at a certain level or thereabouts.
