Just tried installing it offline. The installation looks to be successful but trying to boot from the hard drive doesn't work. I'm gonna try to manually partition the hard drive and if that doesn't work I guess I'll try installing an older version of Lubuntu or another distro.

Code: sudo grub-install /dev/sda. this is assuming if this is a uefi system your efi partition is mounted at /boot/efi and either you have one drive or lubuntu is on the first drive.
