Answer: The tests done by developer "PCMan" show that LXQt 0.11 uses a bit more memory than the GTK2-based LXDE while using less memory than the GTK2-based Xfce. The results show LXQt uses more memory than Openbox, to no surprise, while using much less memory than the Cinnamon Desktop and GNOME 3.
