It doesn’t freeze often on other software, it freezes the most on Unreal Engine (which only uses 50% cpu power) and Chrome. Also, make sure you aren’t leaving Safari open in the background while you play the game. It’s known to cause significant problems, including freezing for several seconds at a time.
