May 29, 2019 · Grub rescue on live usb. I'm new on Linux (I've reading many informations before) and I wish to try Manjaro. Last week I've installed Arch but still too much for me so I've wiped all arch partitions (/,/home and swap). My W10 desktop has no problem, I can boot on it (and I just did right now a new install with all partions wipes).

A guy in a thread on the manjaro forum with the same problem solved it by turning off fastboot, but fastboot is off on my laptop.

I partitioned 200gb from hdd for manjaro , and created root, home and swap in that partition , and i set boot/efi mount point in my ssd (fat32 partiton).

Please allow multiple tries, I would say 10 tries will be better and if you get it wrong on the 10th try then it can go into grub rescue mode.
