Now, I've barely ever used Manjaro. Farthest I've gotten was 2 or 3 weeks on a riced i3 setup. I've always just gravitated towards Vanilla Arch and its' derivatives like Endeavour and Artix. Stable doesn't mean "no crashes", it means it doesn't change. By definition, Manjaro is unstable. They also have pulled a ton of amateur-hour mistakes and I don't trust them anywhere near my system. I have no idea why it's as popular as it is. Pop!_OS is more stable because it's based on Ubuntu which is released every 6 months.

Those that use Unstable need to have the skills to get themselves out of trouble when they move their system to this branch. They are the Manjaro users who are most likely to need to use such skills.

Feb 02, 2021 · On Manjaro, it will be most likely be released pretty quickly (1-4 weeks) and you will have to make the change; on a fixed release distro, it would most likely be released only alongside the next version of the distro and you do not necessarily have to upgrade right now (you have until the end of support to decide when to upgrade).
