17.01.2021 · I recently left manjaro and I’m running the original “deepin” distro now. manjaro was great to finally try live on a system but the updates were killing me. In order to install gparted, i needed 4gb of updates to do so. Can’t do that on a mobile connection. But it is a good system. Deepin is really the best looking distro out there.

Manjaro is all about Rolling Releases meaning regular updates. Unfortunately the developers of Deepin (the UI, not the distro) are not keeping up. It may come back some day but the Manjaro Devs had decided that it was too much work to maintain for now.

Today I want to set up a deepin desktop, but I haven't tried or researched for ... in manjaro right now? the distribution i use is manjaro KDE.

Deepin on Manjaro gets fairly regular updates but I think a lot of it relies on what's happening with the Arch release.
