Fractional Scaling I am running Manjaro 18 with gnome 3.30. Fonts and windows are too small to be usable. Standard scaling only contains 200 % and it is too big. From Arch HiDPi page, i got this command to enable fractional scaling: $ gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features " ['scale-monitor-framebuffer']"

29.08.2021 · Fractional scaling on Gnome - Xorg is not supported by the project, they do officially support that functionality only on Wayland. However, Ubuntu has patched some Gnome components to make it work on Xorg and thanks to their effort, these patched packages are also available on Manjaro. This is because Ubuntu is patching mutter (Gnome's compositor) to support fractional scaling on Xorg. If you feel like you want to experiment, then you could try my port:

So far I like it very much, especially fractional scaling is a must have on a small HiDPI screen. My only question is: Can I make scaling change during runtime instead of reboot?
