I installed Manjaro KDE on it and it drains laptop battery under an hour under light use. I thought it was the battery issue but same battery last about 4-5 hours on Windows OS. I researched and found that it was an issue with the Nvidia Optimus not implemented in Linux by default.

I'm on Manjaro and use optimus-manager and it all works just as you would expect, being on at least the testing channel is required however, unless the xorg patches have made it to the stable channel by now. Anyway you also need to use environment variables in order for prime offloading to work correctly, you can get those here.
