If dual booting also check for a "fastboot" setting and disable it. Otherwise, the way I understand it W10 doesn't really shutdown and grub won't run so you boot straight into W10. I single boot to linux now but still have Secure Boot disabled. Ubuntu/LM have an efi partition but oddly if I enable Secure Boot my wifi quits working in linux!
