Manjaro has most of the important upsides of Arch, being Arch-based but has the user friendliness of the Ubuntu family. I recommend Manjaro over Arch, easily. It definitely averts many of the downsides of Arch.

Though Manjaro and arch can be considered same, it is not 100% true. It's a customized arch based distro with controlled package release cycle. Good thing about Manjaro is the community. Manjaro is an Arch-based distribution with all the benefits of the Arch ecosystem and community but with the added benefit of being much more user-friendly than Arch.The overall features it provides is hard to beat. Arguably be the best desktop distro with lts kernel. Consumes very less ram.

Feb 12, 2021 · All that aside I am using both, Arch linux and Manjaro and must say that Arch is slightly more stable for me than Manjaro. It’s not HW issues, it’s breakages due to the opinionated defaults that Manjaro put in place for their flagship isos and base skels. If I went the Manjaro Architect route, then I would probably had the stablest system ever.
