manjaro linux 21 kde vs xfce

I've been on KDE for five months now and it's been rock solid. Also been trying out XFCE on a separate partition for a couple of days. Nothing gained in terms of memory usage and though Manjaro has made a great job of making it look decent out of the box to me, it still looks like a basement hack compared to KDE but that's just a matter of personal taste.

I'm on Manjaro KDE. No black screen issues on my particular hardware combo (6th gen i5 + RTX 2060) with the games I run (Tekken 7, Grim Dawn, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Batman Arkham Knight, and Cyberpunk 2077). Might be an XFCE issue.
