A simple Python 3 Script to find an equation for a multivariable function based on 3 stationary points. A local maximum, local minimum and a saddle point. Could easily be adapted for more stationary points. Mostly uses the Sympy library. See example.py for how to use this. Was something I created for a small project I did.

Absolute Maximum/Minimum Values of Multivariable Functions - Part 1 of 2. To find absolute max/min values of a continuous function g on a closed bounded set ...
Critical point calculator takes Derivative of 4x^2 + 8x term by term: So, the derivative of a constant function is the constant times the derivative of the function. Now, critical number calculator applies the power rule: x^2 goes to 2x. So, the result is: 8x. Then critical points calculator applies the power rule: x goes to 1. Hence, the x is: 8
What is Multivariable Limit. This professional online calculator will help you calculate and calculate the limit of a function in a few seconds. The calculator will quickly and accurately find the limit of any function online. The limits of functions can be considered both at points and at infinity. In this case, the calculator gives not only ...
A 3-Dimensional graph of function f shows that f has two local maxima at (-1,-1,2) and (1,1,2) and a saddle point at (0,0,0). Exercises Determine the critical points of the functions below and find out whether each point corresponds to a relative minimum, maximum, saddle point or no conclusion can be made. 1.
27.06.2016 · Calculate second partial derivatives of and substitute the results into . Note that Clairaut's theorem guarantees that mixed partials commute (for continuous functions), so in two dimensions, the off-diagonal elements of the Hessian are the same. See the tips for another reason why this must be true.

The maximums of a function are detected when the derivative becomes null and changes its sign (passing through 0 from the positive side to the negative side).
More than just an online function properties finder. Wolfram|Alpha is a great tool for finding the domain and range of a function. It also shows plots of the function and illustrates the domain and range on a number line to enhance your mathematical intuition.
