22.11.2016 · In media encoder there is a selection on the main windows for cuda vs cpu. The gpu is only used for certian tasks, and its still mianly cpu. Posted November 22, 2016 You must first add your gpu to the gpuconfig file (not sure if that's the name). CS6 only detects certain Nvidia GPUs for CUDA acceleration, but you can add it yourself.

Supposedly, this is not an issue with Premiere's sequence settings nor export settings, because the exact same settings work when using Media Encoder and GPU Acceleration on another computer.

OpenCL has come a long way since the CS5 era and we now fully support AMD GPUs for GPU acceleration these days.
