Edge is a great browser for the most part. The browser is fairly feature-rich, and the performance is unmatched on Windows. The UI is also great. Since its based on Chromium, you can use the Chrome Web Store for extensions in addition to Microsoft's Edge Addons Store. The integration with Windows is also very useful (especially the PWA feature).

Microsoft Edge is actually good and it works great. I really don't see why everyone either ignores or straight up dislikes this browser. I believe it used to be good last year and since they switched to chromium it got even better. It's pretty fast and uses less resources than Chrome.

Chrome tends to use 1-2watts more of energy. For an ultrabook it can mean extra 20-30% battery life. UI is completely different. Edge has some unique features like smoother scrolling, spell check, etc, but they're just flags it has enabled by default, you can also turn them on in Chrome.
