Chrome tends to use 1-2watts more of energy. For an ultrabook it can mean extra 20-30% battery life. UI is completely different. Edge has some unique features like smoother scrolling, spell check, etc, but they're just flags it has enabled by default, you can also turn them on in Chrome.
