Oct 31, 2016 · UPNP and PMP do not puch holes though a firewall, they add entries to a table on the router which enables the forwarding of packets to a specific private IP in your LAN. NAT is not a firewall, NAT doesn’t provide real security.

UPnP is a protocol, that helps u establish safe connections to other machines, even if all your ports are closed. For example, any torrent clients work with upnp, also tunggle, garena, hamachi and etc. I know, that NAT-T is NAT traversal, but now it works - sorry, Idk.
