Path coefficient analysis revealed that the direct contribution of total number of capsules/plant was high and positive (P 24 = 0.6320) which was followed by seeds/capsule (P 34 = 0.4090). Poor negative direct contribution was recorded for plant height (P 14 = —0.1732).

A negative path loading is basically the same as a negative regression coefficient. I.e., For a path loading from X to Y it is the predicted increase in Y for a one unit increase on X holding all other variables constant. So a negative coefficient just means that as …

31.03.2021 · Re: Interpreting Path Coefficients. The original sample coefficient is the one that you would also get from your normal PLS analysis and is the one that is estimated based on the sample provided. You should interpret this coefficient --> correct. The sample mean in bootstrapping is the average coefficient over all bootstrapping runs.

proportional to the size of the coefficient. • A negative coefficient means that an increase in the activity measure in one structure leads to a direct, proportional decrease in the activity measure of structures it projects to. Differences in path coefficients for two different models (i.e., for two different conditions) can be of two types.
