Considering Apple was the company that popularized podcasts and are champions of products and software that “just work”, I don’t see how they were able to get the user experience on this app so wrong. It’s TERRIBLE. I want to accurately sync my podcasts between my iPhone and my MacBook. NOPE.

I would prefer the old list instead of the giant icons though, and there is still a lot of annoyance navigating through the app. I feel like it would be too much of a pain to subscribe to all of my podcasts in a new app, so I’m pretty locked in to the apple podcast app. level 1. shapelessness.

The new app pushes you towards recently updated podcasts, which includes shows you’re not actually subscribed to but have previously downloaded an episode of, making it extra convoluted. But there’s only room for eight shows on this new library homepage.
