NextCloud is an open-source app used for creating and self-hosting services. You may find a lot of foundational similarities between NextCloud and OwnCloud because NextCloud is a fork of OwnCloud that separated in 2016. Former OwnCloud developers followed the fork, too, and helped to develop the new project.

I think the sync folder should be keept clean. I have one folder that is also synced to Google Drive. These extra files created by Nextcloud Client caused some trouble (syncing never stopped on either side) and had to be excluded from syncing. The file .owncloudsync.log seams not to be used anymore (at least in my Win 10 client).

In the local datafolder there are log files named owncloud* sc. Shouldn't that be changed to .nextcloudsync.log .
