Everything that runs on Linux goes in a LXC unless it is also hosting containers. I setup my docker stuff on a Linux VM, because containers within containers has some bugs. There are threads about changes you can make to get it working, but I can't be bothered to figure out the consequences and deal with it, so I just use VMs in that case.
