I'm using NPM for a year and something now and Nextcloud for longer and I had some issues with it in the beginning also. But I didn't do any editing in the NPM, only in the Nextcloud config. The only change I did in NPM is that I've added " proxy_buffering off; " into the Custom Nginx Configuration windows in the Advanced tab (on the domain entry).
