However, I am still able to upload large files (tested a 700MB file) via a browser. I am using nginx as a proxy which is setup with client_max_body_size 10G.

11.02.2021 · If this server is only used for Nextcloud, you could disable the limit (again, keeping a close watch on it for trouble). To adjust the memory limit, open the php.ini file for editing.

However, this starts to fail once you set up external storages, external app integrations (GitHub, Reddit, Twitter, etc) and try to upload multi-gigabyte files.
