Resetting a lost admin password ¶ The normal ways to recover a lost password are: Click the password reset link on the login screen; this appears after a failed login attempt. This works only if you have entered your email address on your Personal page in the Nextcloud Web interface, so that the Nextcloud server can email a reset link to you.

17.11.2017 · I also went in nc-admin and I can see the user is ncp and password is ownyourbits. So there it all seems as it should be. But when I go to https:localaddress:4443 it will prompt me for username and password and does not let me in - 'Unauthorized' =(I notice one difference between starting ncp-config and nextcloudpi-config, both v0.59.18.
To reset password for a user, login to SSH, go to DocumentRoot for the web site. This is the folder where you uploaded NextCloud files. Then run. php occ user:resetpassword USERNAME_HERE. 1. php occ user:resetpassword USERNAME_HERE. On following screenshot, i reset password for user “admin”. It will ask you to enter password 2 times.

So i set up Nextcloud on my home server i can log in just fine via the web browser but when i use the same credentials in the android app it keeps telling me invalid user name or password. I am running on Ubuntu server with out a domain at this point just using IP

Reset NextCloud user password from command line You can use lost password link in login page to reset password. If you don’t have a valid email set or mail server not working, you can reset the password using SSH. NextCloud users are stored in table oc_users.

Passwords are generated over the "Create new app password" button. I created a new app password, the android nextcloud app responds with incorrect credentials, same by using a browser and the app login.

I have a fresh docker-NC15 installation (only acitvated app is "external storage"). So far no activity on it as users cannot log in. host-system is Amahi 11 (Fedora 27 server)
