I downloaded the pkgbuilds for lib32-nvidia-utils, nvidia-dkms, and nvidia-settings. In each pkgbuild i changed the version number to be the version of the beta driver. After that I ran makepkg -s in each folder to get the actual packages, then i moved them all to one folder and ran sudo pacman -U ./*

Aug 19, 2014 · The nvidia-kernel-dkms package that is found in the Debian 7 repos appears to be too old to work with the latest stable kernel, so the first thing I did before even downloading the new kernel was remove every trace of nvidia-kernel-dkms, and all other nvidia packages from my system. I then downloaded the latest NVIDIA driver from nvidia.com ...

I updated the nvidia-utils-beta and nvidia-beta-dkms packages and installed both, but either i have forgotten something, or sway and wayfire both still refuse to start with it. I'll be waiting until someone else updates the packages, maybe i just missed something important.

DKMS will build the nvidia module for your system, via the nvidia-legacy-304xx-kernel-dkms package. After, create an Xorg server configuration file and then restart your system to enable the nouveau blacklist. Installing 32-bit libraries on a 64-bit system.

Installing the kernel module through DKMS allows the module to be rebuilt automatically when changing to a different Linux kernel.
