FS#3140 - sysupgrade spews lost of errors on x86_64. This is on an x86_64 build of master from last Monday (circa 6e8b689). The exact hardware is a Supermicro SYS-5018D-FN8T, 32GB of DRAM, 512GB of NVMe. I built a new master today (8d2c031f) and scp’d it onto /tmp/ of my router.

Sep 24, 2020 · The uploaded image file does not contain a supported format. Make sure that you choose the generic image format for your platform. The factory and upgrade bin files built are parsed as 7.75mb and 4.25mb by Luci. Does this mean the image did not build correctly or is this a normal thing for self-built images? Thanks.

Aug 19, 2018 · sysupgrade -T openwrt-18.06.1-ramips-rt288x-ar670w-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin. which produced, Image metadata not found Invalid image type. Image check ‘platform_check_image’ failed. I did a bit of investigating (post some google searching) and it looks like the new .bin header isn’t correct.
