I try to reset to default settings with "firstboot" but it doesn't work. ("/dev/mtdblock3 is mounted as / overlay, only erasing files") I still can't connect to the interface with a browser. May 27, 2017 · 1 Answer1. Show activity on this post. I was able to restore my firewall settings by getting the corresponding settings file directly from the OpenWRT GitHub repository here. The file that I needed was firewall.config. I moved this file to the file /etc/config/firewall on the router using SCP (I made a backup of the current one).
