I successfully installed openwrt trunk on the router. None of the kernel modules recognised the device, so I searched for a driver and found one on the ralink website DPO_RT5572_LinuxSTA_2.6.0.1_20120629.

They seem to provide the USB for plugging in a 3G/4G dongle, which would provide a WAN interface. I will want to make the built-in 2.4 GHz radio (or the Ethernet) the WAN interface, and have the 5 GHz USB WLAN dongle provide the LAN AP.

Ob man den Raspberry wirklich als Router betreiben will sei mal dahin gestellt, als Testsystem oder DHCP Server taugt er aber allemal. Das Image gibt es jeweils getrennt im Zweig brcm2708 im Unterpfad. bcm2708 -> B und B+.
