Install the factory image onto the stock firmware - or - install the sysupgrade onto the running r14281. The kernel version issue will happen even with the official snapshot, the kernel version changes almost everyday, you wouldn't need to deal with it when a stable version releases. To force install use --force-depends after installation command, for example. opkg install luci --force-depends
