Mar 20, 2019 · Configuring ulogd2 on OpenWRT to send conntrack events to syslog-ng. My OpenWRT systems already send their syslog to a remote central syslog server. OpenWRT uses logread to send syslogs remotely. The remote server runs on syslog-ng. Therefore I only have to configure ulogd to send the connection tracking events to local syslog instead of a file.

25.07.2019 · Hi While using OpenWrt version 15.05.1 "Chaos Calmer" , observed that syslog-ng package is not there while doing the make menuconfig , hence wish to check if there is a way to include this feature ; I suppose we have the same feature supported in the latest 18.x version but wish to see if we can make it in 15.05 , do let me know your thoughts, Thanks for the support …

Feb 18, 2019 · On master of April, 2018, the following steps will replace the default OpenWRT logging with syslog-ng. Install syslog-ng and its dependencies. Disable the default logging with /etc/init.d/log disable or by removing the symlink in /etc/rc.d. Confirm that syslog-ng is enabled; /etc/rc.d/S20syslog-ng → ../init.d/syslog-ng.

Finally it worked. Problem was on my ubuntu system (firewall). OpenWRT worked fine.
