OPNsense bridge doesn't work. A little background:I'm running OPNsense on Hyper-v. To make VLAN's work we must configure them in Hyper-V on the VM level. As such the OPNsense VM sees each VLAN as a separate network interface. Now to my problem: I want to use the same VLAN + subnet on two different physical adapters.

opnsense-bootstrap¶ opnsense-bootstrap(8) is a tool that can completely reinstall a running system in place for a thorough factory reset or to restore consistency of all the OPNsense files. It can also wipe the configuration directory, but won’t do that by default.

Sep 17, 2020 · To virtualize pfSense software, first create two Virtual Switches via Hyper-V Manager. In the Hyper-V Manager open Virtual Switch Manager from the Actions menu. Select Internal type of virtual switch and click Create Virtual Switch Name the newly added switch LAN and select private network. Click apply. Now create WAN switch the same way as LAN.

HyperV ¶ HyperV Generation 1 and 2 are supported out of the box, no additional drivers or tools are needed. KVM ¶ i440FX chipset OPNsense on KVM works with virtio disks and network devices (confirmed on QEMU 5.0). Q35 chipset OPNsense on KVM currently does not work with the Q35 chipset. Virtio and other PCIe devices do not get detected properly.

All worked pretty much straight away however I had to turn off block private networks from WAN and add a rule allowing inbound from WAN net to any.
