The Orbi implementation of DHCP configures our clients to use the ORBI router as the DNS server (instead of our preferred DNS servers). Using this method, you can modify the configuration of the Orbi to actually use its DHCP server to configure your clients with your preferred DNS server.

My direct connected devices work fine. I will be using the orbi in AP mode and am putting in a solid router with a home DNS/DHCP server. This has been beyond frustrating, been dealing with it since the middle of last year and it's only gotten worse in the past few weeks. I am using cloudflare and Google as a backup.
