4 stars only because of the perilously outdated lifts, and the lack of tree skiing. Aspen Lift is okay, and Townsight is great (but almost never open), but Lone Spruce and Mother are relics. Tree skiing used to be better, but a couple of fires and a drought have cost this place a lot of trees.

Pajarito is a good ski area where you will have a great time if you are not concerned by well-worn facilities and equipment. Since that doesn't particularly bother me, I had a great time. If you're more into saving money, this is well worth the low price of admission.
I have a friend in Los Alamos. My friend is a ski-enthusiast who has skied at Pajarito (LITTLE BIRD) Ski Mountain for three (3) count-them DECADES. He took me for a drive to one of his most favorite places on earth, Pajarito Ski Mountain. I am NOT a skier but I sure enjoy ski resorts. So off with Dave I went.

(1) The ski area is located far from any accommodation, (3) a free ski bus takes you to the ski area in a short trip, (5) Ski-in ski-out accommodation is available. Childcare: 1.0 (1) There are no child care facilities at Pajarito Mountain Ski Area, (5) the resort has excellent child-care facilities including at least one reasonably priced creche.
