Since parking in Copenhagen proper is very expensive, I've been looking for a solution where we can park our car somewhere in the Copenhagen urban area for a reasonable price for those few days, and then get around by public transport. Public parking is available across Copenhagen, but you have to pay to park or comply with time restrictions in some areas of the city.

Central Copenhagen is divided into tariff zones and time restricted zones as shown on the map below. The further you get from the city centre, the cheaper it is to park your car. Here's a map of parking zones in Copenhagen. My best advice would be to look at Amager, as it seems to have the least amount of parking zones while still have Metro. I don't have much of experience with parking there, so my advice might not be the best. Look at the S-train stations for locations further away from the parking zones.
