03.01.2022 · I have an 8 TB drive connected via USB to the Proxmox Server install itself, and added as storage in DataCenter. I have setup a backup job of a VM (101) which is Ubuntu 20.04 server, with a mounted volume of 3 TB for media, etc. It appears when I set a backup to run, it backs up both the VM and the mounted storage. So, around 4 TB total.

I also deleted my datastore using proxmox-backup-manager datastore remove but couldn't link it back. So I made sure my store1 was renamed to store1-old or something. 14.07.2021 · Extending Datastore. Hello, we have installed PBS as a vm on PVE. The vm has a virtual disk for the Backup Storage. (40 GB as Directory Storage) Now i want to expand the Storage. At the PVE side i increased the virtual disk. A moment later PBS shows the new disk size. (50GB) But the Datastore shows 40GB.

Add the export in the proxmox Gui, remember to specify what typew of storage types are allowed and concurrent backup count limit. I believe there is a command line way to add the storage to pve (not Fstsb) but I don't know it off hand.

12.09.2021 · In the GUI, create a normal datastore under "/mnt/Backups". Then mount the backup NFS share in /mnt/tmp. reboot and remove the /mnt/tmp directory. the NFS share should be mounted under /mnt/Backups now. Add PBS to Proxmox and backup normally.
