04.09.2015 · First off, our hosting provider does not support multicast traffic so the initial sync failed. Also, a bunch of config files were screwed up, AND now the web GUI wont start. I have done my googleing, I dont know what to do. All our virtual machines are running, just the web GUI that is not working.
12.04.2020 · Update again: I changed ip adress on the proxmox server to something new because i could not access it with the old. Now it works! If you read this later and have a similar problem, i recommend you to first set one of your networkports to dhcp so you get access to the GUI, from there you can set up network settings.

So I've discovered the cause of the issue. I haven't used Proxmox very long time, so I forgot it should be accessible only through https://192.168.1.21:8006, not just by 192.168.1.21:8006.
28.07.2021 · Hi guys, i noticed a very high load - most over 8 - and the web guy isn't accessible. SO i had a look and i've seen that there are many backups seems to run. On a manually initiated reboot the "stop job Proxmox backup api proxy server" took more than 5min.
25.08.2021 · Need help. I'm still a bit of a noob. Have Procmox set up with two VM's. Tried to pass through PCI to one of the VM's and now on reboot I can't access Web GUI. Is there a way to remove that hardware option via command line? I think I need to remove the "hostpci0: 00:17" from my qm config 101
22.12.2017 · 1. May 31, 2015. #1. Hello, I have no idea why, but for the past few days I can't access the webpage. I tried "https" and "http" - says the same. "The webpage is not available. ERR_TIMED_OUT". The PVE server itself is available, I can access and log onto it from the server itself or from putty, so it's just the web that doesn't work.
Web GUI not accepting password It's been a while since I've had a chance to play with my Proxmox server, but I don't remember the web GUI password being different from the terminal password. I can log into the terminal directly, I can ssh into my proxmox from my HTPC and log in, but the web GUI will not accept the password and I am unable to log in.
