... it is possible through migration in a proxmox cluster, you can simply transfer a disk image and then create a virtual machine with it.

Can i just copy/move the existing VM disk-images to another location and restore them later? i probably need to specificy some details i.e. matching VM with the correct ID's and all. (to be fair) all that i need is the disk as that contains the data of the vm's themselves. i can recreate the VM's in proxmox and add the specific disks (thats possible right?).
