19.11.2021 · Well, "somebody from proxmox" is an idiot, then. TrueNAS doesn't give a crap what you're running over iSCSI. It's a block SAN protocol. As long as you can get the client to attach the iSCSI disks, you can put whatever you want on them, and it can certainly be ZFS if you want.

Just spun up a new lab to test the new release but TrueNAS Scale is now using SCST for ISCSI and we don't have SCST option in Proxmox.

I’m pretty sure I read in the issues section on Github that it works with Proxmox 7, maybe someday soon I’ll give it a try. They have updated it so you won’t need to run the patch commands again after a kernel upgrade.

Edit Zvol in TrueNAS (Editors note: Using TrueNas 12.0-U4 when this is written) You need to login to your TrueNAS instance and go to Storage -> Pools and click on the three dots to the right of the Zvol and choose edit Zvol.
