https://pytorch.org/docs/stable/generated/torch.arange.html
torch.arange¶ torch. arange (start=0, end, step=1, *, out=None, dtype=None, layout=torch.strided, device=None, requires_grad=False) → Tensor ¶ Returns a 1-D tensor of size ⌈ end − start step ⌉ \left\lceil \frac{\text{end} - \text{start}}{\text{step}} \right\rceil ⌈ step end − start ⌉ with values from the interval [start, end) taken with common difference step beginning from start.

Tensors in Pytorch - Ryan Wingate
https://ryanwingate.com/intro-to-machine-learning/deep/tensors-in-pytorch
17.05.2020 · Introduction to Deep Learning with PyTorch Pytorch is a framework for building and training neural networks. PyTorch in a lot of ways behaves like arrays from Numpy. These Numpy arrays, after all, are just tensors. PyTorch takes these tensors and makes it simple to move them to GPUs for the faster processing needed when training neural networks.
torch.Tensor.to — PyTorch 1.10.1 documentation
https://pytorch.org/docs/stable/generated/torch.Tensor.to.html
Returns a Tensor with the specified device and (optional) dtype. If dtype is None it is inferred to be self.dtype.When non_blocking, tries to convert asynchronously with respect to the host if possible, e.g., converting a CPU Tensor with pinned memory to a CUDA Tensor. When copy is set, a new Tensor is created even when the Tensor already matches the desired conversion.

22.03.2021 · Then we rearrange the dimensions to get the placement you want. I try to go backwards from the desired dimension to find the permutation I want usually. First dimension should then be 6 = 3x2 where we get 3 sets and 2 rows of tensor so we keep the first axis in place, move rows dimension next to set dimension: permute(0, 2, 1, 3).

30.12.2021 · I’m creating a 3 GB PyTorch tensor and want to measure its memory consumption with the psutil module. In order to get some statistics, I do this ten times in a for loop and consider the mean and std. I also move the tensor to GPU and then use PyTorch functions to measure the allocated and totally reserved memory on GPU. My code is this:

29.10.2021 · So I knew Tensor.unfold(dim, size, step) (which is different from nn.functional.unfold) can produce the type of overlapping patches you want. Initially, I thought it would be step 2 but this will make the 0 2 4 6, so we need step 1 and then skip every other slice with the ::2.The size = 6 is because you asked for 3 outputs but as we are skipping every other …
