The problem I have a QNAP NAS (TS-253A) and I am trying to connect homeassistant to it via the official HA integration.

Go to the ‘Create’ menu, search ‘homeassistant’ in the search bar, make sure you select the ‘Docker Hub’ tab as the ‘Recommended’ tab will shows an out of date version. You should see homeassistant/home-assistant click on ‘Install’ or ‘Create’.

I've since found the Home Assistant application is available through Container Station and wish to run it from there.

Here are the steps to follow: Log in into the Qnap web interface. Open ‘Container Station’ and select create. Search for “homeassistant”, find the ‘homeassistant/home-assistant’ image on the Docker Hub results tab and click ‘Create’. Select version, and set the name and resources for the container as per your requirements.

Here is the procedure to install an instance of Home Assistant on your Qnap NAS.We will install it as a docker container, using Container Station provided by QNAP.. I have only test this procedure in my QNAP TS-453be, with the latest versions of QTS and Container Station (4.4.3.1381 and 2.1.3.1360 at time of writing).

Remark: To update your Home Assistant on your Docker within Qnap NAS, you just remove container and image and do steps again (Don’t remove “config” folder). Mar 26, 2017 · I have used this forum to successfully get home-assistant running through a container in Docker on my QNAP TS-451 and I’m happy to help anywhere I can. I’m currently stuck trying to install HASS.io (which I believe should run through home-assistant).
