Aug 12, 2020 · Router R7960P firmware upgrade not available. I received an email from Netgear telling my upgrade my router firmware to v1.4.1.62. The current version is 1.4.1.50_1.3.10. When I tried to upgrade through router settings I got a message that there was no upgrade available, even though Netgear told me to upgrade.

Time to check how many on the list support DD/Open-WRT? ... of their Nighthawk X6S for one of the warehouse club chains, the model R7960P.

21.05.2019 · The r8000p is not supported so I doubt you could get dd-wrt on yours. I believe yours is the Costco version of the r8000p. I was able, by converting my r7900 to an r8000, to flash dd-wrt on it but that required the r8000 being supported. Since the r8000p isn’t, I think you are out of luck. _____ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.

I was able, by converting my r7900 to an r8000, to flash dd-wrt on it but that required the r8000 being supported.
