11.04.2016 · If you do not have a keyboard or mouse plugged in the screen will go black thinking there is no input. Plugin a keyboard/mouse and press a key or give it a wiggle. Answer (1 of 5): Since the list of possible problems is long, and you haven’t said what you’ve tried, I conclude that you’re a bit new to the troubleshooting world.
Unfortunately after the main boot process, it goes black for about 5 – 10 seconds while xwin starts up, then shows the “splash screen” again for a second (the desktop / wallpaper), then VLC starts full screen. Besides the 5 – 10 second black screen, everything transitions very smoothly.
sudo dd bs=1m if=raspbian.img of=/dev/disk2 conv=sync but I accidentally omitted the r before disk2. I Reran: sudo dd bs=1m if=raspbian.img of=/dev/rdisk2 conv=sync and it booted up properly. The successful boot on Pi showed a blue square immediately saying "reformatting disk".

Apr 12, 2016 · I'm running the latest version of Raspbian on my Raspberry Pi 2 (Model B) and so far it's been working just fine. However, it just won't show anything on screen when it's done booting. It does display stuff during the boot, but after that I'm getting a black screen. Tried turning it off and on again and checking the SD card for errors to no avail.

28.10.2013 · When I boot the Raspberry PI, I see the NOOBS splash and then it goes to boot but all I get is a blank screen. The behavior of the LEDs is as follows: The green ACT goes on for a second, display seems to go in a multicolour pattern (its the same one I get before my PI actually boots), and green ACT goes off and only RED PWR LED remains on.
Set it to boot with the splash screen off and enable SSH. You can do all this using the raspi-config utility. You can now use that SD card to boot any Raspberry ...
Jan 10, 2020 · If I start it with the HDMI cable unplugged and wait for KODI to boot everything is great. And the resolution in Kodi is 1024 x 768 (which is what I set it to). But if I boot it with the HDMI cable plugged in, the first boot screens show up and then the point at which KODI would show up just displays a blank black screen.

17.04.2017 · So if you connect or power on the monitor after Raspberry Pi power is on, you will see a black screen. Show activity on this post. Open the content of the SD card on your computer and look for the file config.txt. Edit that file and comment out all lines, that don't contain a # already at the start.
