A quick google told me that Windows Live Mail typically stores its data in C:\users\*username*\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail.

Jan 11, 2012 · Unfortunately I don't have an export of all the various messages, contacts, etc. from Live Mail. If I add the original C: drive as a second drive in the new PC, is there a way I can point Live Mail to the old drive, at least long enough to do an export? I suspect the new PC is too new to simply boot off the old drive, but have not tried that yet.

Using LiveContactsView, open the contacts.edb file from the DBStore folder. Select all fields within the list view. Export the items to a .csv file. Import the .csv file into the mail client of your choice. That’s it! It’s actually remarkably simple, and it is the best (and only) method I’ve found to accomplish this to date.
