But certainly a trouser saver if you need to restore your Veeam (or any other) server without the main Veeam server. Under the following path on the B&R server:

The tool asks you to mount a VBK file, opens it, and shows you all the VMs that are saved into it: From here, you can select the desired VM and extract it into any folder that can be seen from the Windows machine.
Restore Full VM Without Veeam B&R ... i have just installed the Veeam agent and saved backups to an smb share on a NAS - not using a Veeam B&R server. 28.01.2016 · Our backup job chains got corrupted so the job cannot purge old VIB and VBK files per retention. We have to start a new chain. We're running low on space and I'd like to remove the job from Veeam, delete all files but the VBKs we want to keep, including the VBM file, and then rescan and have it be able to do restore from the remaining VBK files.
12.08.2021 · Double-click the VBK or VBM file. In the displayed window, select a restore point from which you want to restore the file. Click Open. Veeam Agent will display the backup file content in the Veeam Backup browser. Locate the file you want to restore, right-click it and select Restore > Overwrite. The file will be restored to its original location.
