If you have to use an ethernet cable instead of wifi, the only option is the Roku Ultra (model 4661R). If you are using wifi, any of them are options (depending on the type of wifi you have). You'll need to check your wifi router at home and see what type it is (ac, b, g, n) and compare it to the types of wifi supported by the Roku device.

Definitely get the Stick+ if you can afford it. The Premiere only receives 802.11 (b/g/n compatible) with WEP, WPA, and WPA2 support (the 2.4 GHz WiFi signal). The Stick+ has a 802.11ac dual-band MIMO w/ advanced wireless receiver (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi). 2.4 GHz WiFi is already on the way out. This also relates to the remote.

But, if I have the Roku hooked up to a receiver with DD+ support, then an Premiere+ will work just fine since the Roku will pass the DD+ signal to the receiver which will decode it, correct?

Roku Premiere has single band wifi and Ultra has dual band AC wifi. If your network is setup properly the Ultra will be a better wifi device.
