Interesting data point: while on hold with support, I was able to successfully stream through the Roku live TV via my Amazon Fire stick! But not through my new Roku. Already tried 2 HDMI ports, and 3 HDMI cables, plugging in, unplugging, plugging in again ad nauseam. Any help is appreciated! Edit: TV is a 5½ year old Vizio D-series, if it matters.

The Roku 3 has slowed down a bit but we keep it only because I can't get MotorTrend on the smart TV that it is connected to. At the time we bought the Roku TV, it was only $20 more than a new Roku unit. The interface on the TV is so much better even if it died today I would still replace the TV vs a new stand alone unit.

Roku has to be visible for the infrared. Must register account with email but is not necessary to register a credit card.
