So this was interesting but I was running Nextcloud 13 in docker and decided I was going to upgrade to Nextcloud 14. Anyways I upgraded (thinking I didn't do this right maybe?) but noticed that I had some sync errors on one of my computers so I ran occ scan all and before I knew it all of my data was gone except for what I added to Nextcloud after the update.

Dec 16, 2016 · I just created a folder containing one single file on the top level nextcloud data directory of user2 through the nextcloud browser interface and voila, everything works. Even after deleting this directory again, scanning runs as expected. So now, everything is back to the way it used to be, but scanning works now.
